Chem Lab is an event that requires a lot of studying and I would only recommend it for students that are taking Chem AP or have completed it. The event has a schedule which changes the topics every few years, but the main topics that will likely be covered are: Aqueous Solutions, Redox Reactions, Acids and Bases, Physical Properties, and Thermodynamics. In some competitions Chem Lab will be an event where you have to make or test something and do a written portion as well. If you excel in advanced chemistry, this event will be right for you. Also this event really helps during the Chem AP class and test because it prepares you for flashcards and definitions and quantities ahead of time.
