Geologic Mapping will test knowledge of structural geology, geologic history, topography, and map reading.

​

The test consists of three types of questions: theory, calculation, and construction. Theory questions include general questions. Calculation questions are ones that require you to calculate attributes of maps. Construction questions have you create your own map or draw your own diagrams. You should have general knowledge of:

• Earth history 

• Tectonics

• Rock formation

• Lithologies

• Geologic principles.
